What is HIOZ?

HIOZ is a digital guest guide built around the simplest way to explain a property: showing someone around it.

A host walks through the property with a phone and talks naturally, just as they would during an in-person handover. HIOZ then converts that recording into a clear, interactive guide covering subjects such as:

• Entry and key-safe instructions
• Wi-Fi
• Heating and air conditioning
• Kitchen appliances
• Entertainment systems

Each section can link guests to the exact moment in the walkthrough where the host demonstrates what to do. It is easier to understand than a paragraph and much faster than searching through a traditional welcome book.

How HIOZ works

1. Record the property

Walk around the accommodation with your phone and explain the details guests need to know. You can record one continuous walkthrough or upload several shorter clips. No specialist camera or production team is required.

2. Let HIOZ build the guide

HIOZ transcribes the video, identifies the different topics and drafts organised sections with titles, summaries and step-by-step instructions. The video remains the source, and each answer can take the guest directly to the relevant moment.

3. Review and personalise it

The host stays in control. Sections can be edited, reordered, hidden or supplemented with extra information and local recommendations. When something changes, the host updates the relevant section rather than rebuilding the entire guide.

4. Translate it for international guests

At launch, HIOZ supports English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish and Arabic. Titles, summaries, instructions, subtitles and Ask HIOZ answers can follow the guest’s chosen language.

5. Share one secure link

Guests open the guide in their mobile browser from a link or QR code. They do not need to download an app or create an account. Hosts can place QR codes in the welcome pack or next to individual items such as the thermostat, router or coffee machine.

6. Let guests Ask HIOZ

Ask HIOZ is a property-specific AI guest assistant. It answers from the host’s approved guide and walkthrough rather than giving generic advice. Where relevant, it provides a link to the exact video moment that demonstrates the answer. If the information is not in the guide, it says so and directs the guest to the host instead of inventing an answer.

A guest guide designed for real stays

HIOZ is not simply a digital version of a paper binder. It is designed around the way guests actually look for information: on a phone, at the moment they need it.

Video-first instructions

Some things are easier to show than describe. A short demonstration of the shower controls, induction hob or alarm system can prevent confusion that even carefully written instructions fail to solve.

Multilingual by design

Hosts do not need to speak every supported language. They record once in their own language, then choose the translations they need. Guests can switch language with one tap and receive both written information and subtitles.

Secure access to sensitive details

A guest guide may contain key-safe codes, alarm instructions or other information that should not remain visible forever. HIOZ can protect sensitive sections using a PIN and a defined access window for each stay, allowing access to expire after checkout.

Useful analytics

For hosts and property managers, repeated questions are also useful signals. HIOZ can show which sections guests open, what they ask and which languages they use. That helps teams improve the guide—and identify parts of the property experience that may need clearer signage or instructions.

The Founding Host offer is available to new Starter subscribers who join before 1 January 2027: £4.99 per month for the first six paid months, then £9.99 per month. Plans are also available for 3, 10 and 20 live properties, with additional properties available as needed. Draft, paused and archived properties do not count towards the live-property limit.
